Thank you for contributing to medical support

So much gratitude to everyone who participated or contributed to the Breathwork for Palestine fundraiser. I wasn't entirely sure whether many people would join or contribute, but at the 11th hour, there was a surge of energy, resulting in us collectively raising $1329 (!!!) for Medecins Sans Frontieres/Doctors Without Borders and its medical activities in Palestine.

In the grand scheme of what is going on, these small gestures can feel incredibly inadequate in comparison to the scale of suffering. However, many truly believe aligning our inner vibration or intention with that of our higher consciousness - the qualities of love, compassion, care, healing, and peace - can shift the collective consciousness. Millions of Buddhist monks start their day with a prayer for peace towards all four directions of the compass. A cynic might say why bother, look at the state of the world. However, to reorientate your perspective towards gratitude, you may think to yourself - thank you to those monks who pray for peace each day, because without it, things might be a whole lot worse!

As I've previously written, the dance right now for many of us is walking life with an open heart, whilst at the same time, not becoming overwhelmed, despairing or bypassing human suffering. This process is reflected in the state of our nervous systems, whether our breath is open and free or constricted and shallow. A constricted breath narrows our focus, driven by stress and fear, while an open breath fosters hope, creativity, and generosity.

Take the time you need to process your feelings when overwhelmed. However, when you're ready, and once your breath opens back up to the world, listen to your heart and heed its whispers. Right now, the world is calling for people guided by heart wisdom. Embrace this call and let your breath and heart lead you toward hope, creativity, and generosity. The wisdom of your heart is needed more than ever.
