Embrace the waves of change

Hi everyone,

Earlier this month, I had the incredible opportunity to attend the International Breathwork Foundation's annual Global Inspiration Conference (GIC) in the Netherlands. It was a week-long gathering of breathwork practitioners and enthusiasts from around the world.

The GIC is truly inspiring—a chance to spend time with masters of breathwork, learning and sharing our passion for breathwork and healing. Participants ranged from those who were with Leonard Orr at the start of the rebirthing breathwork movement in the 60s with a lifetime of experience to draw upon, to those new to the breathwork scene. As many of you know, breathwork takes you into a different state of consciousness, so spending seven days in this field is profound. It enables magical connections, deep processes, and ultimately, transformation.

This year, I presented The Embodied Breath to the international breathwork community, which was very well received. I also introduced next year's GIC, which I’m co-organising for September 2025 in Australia (more details to come soon). Additionally, I led the morning meditation for the entire community, which moved many people to tears. It made me appreciate the unique energy and medicine that we, living in Australia, bring to the world.

On a personal level, this conference deepened my reverence for the power of breath and air itself. Something we do unconsciously every day can induce such profound experiences and transformations. It can take us to the edge of our known world, help us transcend our deepest fears, and embody the ecstasy beyond them.

Awakening, or growth, can be a passive or active process. We all have the choice to engage with this process consciously or unconsciously. Regardless of the path you choose, change is inevitable and constant. With breathwork, you choose to embrace the waves of change, creating a dance between your awareness and life itself. Over time, with dedication, perseverance, and trust, your mastery of this dance will grow.

Big love to everyone - Joshua.

PS - I'm giving myself some time to digest my experiences, as well as prepare for a solo bush meditation, called a Vision Quest, mid-September. My energy has therefore felt more drawn to holding space for individuals, rather than groups. I'm also witnessing really beautiful processes unfolding in those private breathwork and psychotherapy sessions - so it feels right to focus my energy there. However, I will be recommencing group breathwork sessions in October. Thank you to those who have been patiently waiting for me to recommence these offerings.
